Education & Personal
Suitable for cartoons utilized privately or within non-profit educational institutions by a sole educator or student for teaching or learning support.
Personal use is for private individuals not pursuing commercial or professional gain. This includes rights to use the image in a personal email (to a maximum of 100 recipients) or on a single URL indefinitely, within a personal blog, website, or social media post, excluding advertising or professional purposes.
Educational use pertains to non-profit schools, colleges, or universities for classroom instruction and other internal uses by the institution’s staff and students, barring public access. The license allows repeated use by the same educator or student.
This license does not extend to presentations to other educators, school posters, flyers, school newspapers, or external classroom use, nor does it apply to institutional promotion or use by profit-driven commercial training entities.

Presentation & Non-Commercial Newsletter/Email
Appropriate for cartoons featured in presentations, newsletters, or emails not aimed at promotional activities.
This includes internal communications with a print run limit of 1,000 per annum, or business presentations to the licensee’s staff, clients, suppliers, or stakeholders, without external distribution.
The license permits unlimited cartoon use within the document and production of up to 1,000 newsletters or handouts annually indefinitely.
Electronic rights are granted for uploading the cartoon within the original document to a single fixed URL.

Non-Commercial Web/Publication
For cartoons displayed on a website (single URL indefinitely) or in non-cover publications with imagery smaller than half-page size, available externally.
Web use is confined to non-commercial sites devoid of paid subscribers or advertisers.
Publication use is limited to academic journals not for sale, informational leaflets, and non-profit organizations’ publications. Electronic reproduction in the same context as print is permissible.

License
CartoonStack grants the image user a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to download the specified CartoonStack image(s) onto their computer and to use the CartoonStack image(s) and any derivatives or copies (“image(s)”) on their personal or company computer(s). This license is valid solely for the image(s), contingent upon payment of the applicable license fee stated above within the designated period.
This license permits the image user to use the image(s) only for the purposes specified above. Repurposing the image for alternative objectives requires prior written approval from CartoonStack.
Distribution of altered versions of the image(s) or any part thereof necessitates prior written consent from CartoonStack. However, caption font alterations for personal preference are allowable without consent.
The specified image(s) may not be sold or sublicensed separately or as part of any other product beyond the scope of this license. Use of the image(s) in or on a product does not grant the right to replicate or distribute the image(s) to third parties or end-users.
General
Utilization of the image(s) in pornographic, defamatory, libelous, or otherwise unlawful manners is expressly prohibited.
If credit is obligatory, the phrase “CartoonStack.com” must be displayed adjacent to the image(s).
All rights to the image(s) belong to CartoonStack or the image creator and are protected by United Kingdom copyright laws, international treaties, and other relevant statutes. Any breach of this agreement results in immediate termination of the license without notice from CartoonStack.
For satirical or parody purposes, cartoons may feature trademarks, trading names, individual names, copyrighted terms, or publicity rights features (“third party intellectual property”). While CartoonStack has the authority to license the original work, the legality of using third party intellectual property within the cartoon is contingent upon the specific use and jurisdiction. CartoonStack disclaims all warranties regarding the lawful use of cartoons containing third party intellectual property.
Upon request, the image user must provide CartoonStack with a copy of any publication that includes licensed image(s) from CartoonStack.
NOTE: Images licensed under a bespoke agreement not detailed above will follow the terms previously agreed upon.
